We opened January 2008 and we are excited as it is a new beginning in a changing market.  Our company plan is unique and you may see how it will benefit you. To begin with, there is no office or office rent and no monthly fees. We are an office with no keys, also known as a virtual office, focusing on the Greater South Bay Area and the Palos Verdes Peninsula. The company name and web site www.realestateofsouthbay.com brands us to this area.  Many of us, who are members of the Greater South Bay Board, focus our business in this area and often spend little or no time in a corporate office. We work from home and meet our clients wherever they are most  comfortable.  While it is nice to have a corporate type office front, the questions are who is paying for it, how much business does it bring you and does it benefit your clients? We are developing a professional company dedicated to, and for, full time ethical agents. Full time does not mean a certain production level; it does mean a real estate professional who makes their living selling real estate.  Everything from business cards to the company web site is designed to present a professional image.  The initial plan is to have no more than twenty associates who are all respected within our industry as well as within the communities we serve. We will ask our licensees to hold either a GRI or CRS credential from the DRE or work to obtain one of these credentials.  $12,000 Annual Commission Cap The commission split is 90-10 for the first $60,000 of commission, 93-7 to $100,000 and 96-4 above $100,000, to be re-set each year.  At 12k to office commission is caped. Each transaction will have a $175 charge for E & O and a $395.00 charge for a Transaction Coordinator provided by Real Estate Of South Bay.  There are no monthly or yearly fees charged by our company.  Business cards, stationary, signs and individual related fees, such as Board dues, MLS dues etc., are the responsibility of each associate.
